Creasterol® is a range of film forming and long lasting agents.
Creasterol® products are complex mixtures of esters and fatty acids derived from wax. Due to its composition being highly similar to the one of human sebum, it enhances the skin hydration and repair (see the comparison). C10-30 Cholesterol/Lanosterol esters is able to absorbs water up to 7 times its weight. Creasterol®, like human sebum, has the ability to emulsify the water that diffuses from the dermis across the epidermis and holds it in the keratinised epidermal cells.
They are also approved in China and Japan.
Creasterol® HR LL with Hydrogenated Rosin offers a lower melting point and an easier solubilisation. It also helps to have a glossy final appearance for make-up and increase the film-forming capacity.
